Arab Contractors boss Mohamed Amer said that his side gave away a precious victory over Zamalek, following Monday's 2-2 draw.

Contractors were on the verge of pulling off their first win of the season, but substitute Sayed Mosaad's injury-time header salvaged a draw for Zamalek.

"We gave away two precious points and an important victory. It is the nature of Egyptian footballers," Amer said after the game.

"We were the better side throughout the game. Our passing was excellent especially in the first half, but then the players backed down unnecessarily."

Contractors have yet to win a game under Amer this season as they managed three draws so far in the league competition.
