Arsenal qualified for the lucrative Champions League group stage after claiming an easy 3-1 home victory over Scottish giants Celtic on Wednesday.

The English side went through 5-1 on aggregate after outclassing Celtic in both legs.

Croatian striker Eduardo converted a penalty to put Arsenal in front after 28 minutes at Emirates Stadium.

Emmanuel Eboue killed off Celtic's hopes when he doubled the Gunners' advantage eight minutes after the restart.

Russian playmaker Andrei Arshavin added the third on 74 minutes before Massimo Donati notched a late consolation for the visitors.

Italy's Fiorentina reached the group stage on the away-goal rule following a 1-1 home draw with Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon. The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw.

Germany's Stuttgart also went through with a 2-0 aggregate victory over Timisoara of Romania.
