Egypt U-20 forward Mostafa Selim 'Afroto' is disappointed that he and his teammates are yet to taste first-team football with their clubs.

The Ahli man was on target in Egypt's opening game of the U-20 World Cup that is taking place on home soil – a thrashing 4-1 victory over Trinidad and Tobago.

He also bamboozled opposing defense with his energetic moves and skilful feints.

"It's sad that most of the players in our national team are not getting regular first-team football at their clubs," Afroto told FIFA.com on Sunday.

Afroto was an unfamiliar player to most Egyptians before the tournament, but now things are different.

He is hoping to have an opportunity to experience European football.

"I hope this tournament will open the door to me playing in Europe. I long for the day I can take this challenge and I firmly believe I'd be successful if I moved there," he added.
