The United Arab Emirates came from a goal down to defeat Venezuela 2-1 at Mubarak Stadium in Suez and reach the U-20 World Cup quarter final.

Venezuela went in front via an easy tap-in from Jose Rondon after UAE keeper failed to handle Del Valle's tame cross after 12 minutes.

The Arab team leveled the score ten minutes later when Mohamed Ahmed rose unmarked to head home a free-kick.

Ahmed Khalil netted the winner with seven minutes remaining when he poked into an empty net after his strike partner Ahmed Ali squared the ball for him.

The UAE now have a chance to book a last-four berth for the first time in their history

They will face Costa Rica, who stunned World Cup hosts Egypt with a 2-1 victory, in the quarter final at Cairo Stadium.
