Ghana star Dominic Adiyiah has clinched the Golden Ball award for the best player in the U-20 World Cup, as well as finishing top scorer to win the Golden Shoe.

Ten-man Ghana were crowned World champions after beating Brazil 4-3 on penalties at Cairo Stadium, with Adiyiah proving to be their star man.

Adiyiah, who scored eight goals in seven games to inspire the Black Satellites' triumph in Egypt, was voted ahead of Brazil duo Alex Teixeira and Giuliano respectively.

Costa Rica goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado has won the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper in the competition after pulling off countless saves for the CONCACAF minnows.

Costa Rica finished fourth in the tournament after losing 2-0 on penalties to Hungary on Friday.
