Sevilla forward Alvaro Negredo is set to miss Tuesday's Champions League tie with Stuttgart due to an infection, the Andalucian's said on Monday.

Negredo, who scored twice in Spain's drubbing of Bosnia last week, paves way for Frederic Kanoute to partner Luis Fabiano upfront.

Sevilla will also be without veteran goalkeeper Andres Palop, who is nursing a calf strain.

Manolo Jimenez's side comfortably lead Group G with six points from two games, four ahead of Stuttgart.
