France coach Raymond Domenech believes that Algeria are capable of pulling off a victory at Egypt in the eagerly-awaited World Cup qualifier between both teams.

"The Algerian team is strong and can resist against Egypt in the November 14 qualifying match due to be held in Cairo," he told France Football.

"Algeria with Meghni, Yebda, Ziani and Matmour can resist against Egypt and win.

"The match will be difficult and any possibility can happen."

The Desert Foxes are in pole position to reach the prestigious competition, as they are topping Group C in the qualifying stage on 13 points, three ahead of second-placed Egypt.

A victory for the Pharaohs by a three-goal margin in next month's meeting at Cairo Stadium will see the hosts qualify for the World Cup due to a better goal difference.

If Egypt beat Algeria by a two-goal margin, a play-off game will be played to determine the group winners, as both sides will become equal in goal difference, goals scored and head-to-head record.

On the other hand, Algeria need to win, draw or lose by a one-goal margin to ensure they will become one of Africa's representatives at the most important FIFA tournament.

"Logically speaking, it is difficult to catch up the goals difference between Algeria and Egypt," Domenech added.
