The hosts raced into a two-goal lead in the first 20 minutes, thanks to goals from Ahmed Karawe and Walid Al-Mabrouk.

Nader Kara pulled one back when a low free-kick from Egyptian defender Saied, who joined Ahli as a free agent after terminating his contract with Ismaili, found him inside the area to strike home.

Abdul-Majid Al-Jilani leveled the score with a neat header in the 70th minute and Mohamed Maghrabi gave them a precious win when he converted a penalty three minutes from time.

Ahli moved into second place in the table with ten points from five games.
