Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson believes his side's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea did not scupper their chances of winning the Premier League title for the fourth successive season.

A second-half header from skipper John Terry gave Chelsea a narrow win at Stamford Bridge in an otherwise uneventful affair.

Leaders Chelsea are now enjoying a five-point advantage over Manchester United and Arsenal.

"That was Manchester United we saw today. We've got a great squad and today was a reminder that we're a very good team," Ferguson told United's official website.

"We've been criticised recently by a lot of people, but that won't deter us.

"We've got a cause now, a great cause - we want to win this league. And the lead isn't unassailable, that's for sure."
