Egyptian coach Helmi Toulan arrived in Libya on Sunday night in order to take charge of Ahli Benghazi.

The club announced on their official website that the former Masri coach would start his new job on Monday, following the departure of Brazilian tactician Dos Santos.

The length and worth of Toulan's new contract remain undisclosed.

Toulan, who also took over Harras Hodoud and Egypt U-20 throughout his coaching career, has been unemployed for over a year since he left Port Said side Masri midway through last season.

The former Zamalek assistant coach will work with Egyptian defender Ateya Al-Belkasi, whom Libya's Ahli have signed from their Egyptian namesake on loan until the end of the season.
