Schaaf's outfit lost 3-2 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in their league opener, but afterwards they rejoiced in a series of good results.
Bremen are now in second place with 27 points, having won seven games, drown six times and conceded no losses apart from their defeat in the curtain raiser.
Even though he is delightful with his side's performances, Schaaf stressed that his men have to maintain consistency in order to keep their status in the title race.
"Of course it's a positive thing that the team has prevailed in so many games. But still you can see that everything is so tight in the table," the German tactician told Bremen's official site.
"Altogether the team has really had substantial and good performances. But as so often you would gladly have a bit more.
"There are 10 teams up there who will fight for the spots. The circle is big. The situation shows that it is not easy to pull away. We have to continue to work concentrated."
Bremen are three points adrift of leaders Bayer Leverkusen, and two ahead of closest rivals Schalke 04.
