Amir Azmi has terminated his contract with Turkish side Diyarbakirspor, the Egyptian defender said on Wednesday.

The former PAOK man has recently filed a complaint with the Turkish FA over Diyarbakirspor's failure to pay him his monthly wages.

He is now free to leave the promoted club after being granted his wish to annul the contract.

"I spent three months here without receiving any money. This has never happened in my career before," Azmi told FilGoal.com.

"I decided to return to the Egyptian league to play regularly and increase my chances of playing in the national team.

"I received some Egyptian offers which I will consider in the January transfer window."

Azmi was due to start the season with Cairo club Zamalek but suddenly left them in the summer.

His compatriot Ayman Abdul-Aziz, who is on loan at Diyarbakirspor from Zamalek, also said he was unhappy with the Turkish side's treatment but is yet to reveal whether he will depart the club.
