The 28-year-old marksman was stretchered off in Hodoud's 2-1 victory over Zamalek earlier this month due to a groin complaint.
"The injury is worse than first feared," Hodoud coach Tarek Al-Ashri told FilGoal.com on Thursday.
"Abdul-Ghani will not be able to play in our next three league games."
Hodoud will face Gouna, Military Production and Ghazl Mahalla before the league is held up to give Egypt national team time to prepare for next month's African Cup of Nations in Angola.
Tall striker Abdul-Ghani impressed in Hodoud's first 12 games, scoring seven goals.
He is just one goal behind the league's top scorer Eric Bekoe of Petrojet.
