"We've finalized a deal to bring Ibrahim to Smouha in January," the club's president Mohamed Amer, who refused to disclose the deal's financial details, told FilGoal.com.
Ibrahim, who began his career with Cairo giants Ahli, proved to be a key player for Petrojet after joining from Jordan's Wehdat in the summer of 2005.
He finished the 2007/2008 Egyptian league season as the competition's top scorer with 15 goals.
The 34-year-old's form started to deteriorate last season though, prompting coach Mokhtar Mokhtar to rely on Eric Bekoe and Al-Sayed Hamdi upfront.
He has been confined to the bench this season but could have a chance to get more playing time when he links up with Smouha in the winter transfer window.
Smouha, who were on the verge of sealing promotion to the Premier League last season, lie second in Group C with 26 points, one behind leaders Baladeya.
They must finish on top to book a place among the top-flight elites.
