Nigeria were held to a goalless draw by Zambia in their last game before facing Egypt in their African Cup of Nations (CAN) opener on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles' coach Shuaibu Amodu named his regular players in the starting line-up, including Wolfsburg striker Obafemi Martins who shook off a shin injury in time to make CAN squad.

Hoffenheim frontman Chinedu Obasi, a late inclusion in Nigeria's squad at the expense of Esperance's Michael Eneramo, also took part in the friendly game.

The match was played behind closed doors in Durban in South Africa.

Defending champions Egypt meet two-time CAN winners Nigeria in the opener of Group C, which also includes Mozambique and Benin.
