Manchester United's hopes of going top in the Premier League were denied by Birmingham, who held the Red Devils to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Although United dominated the first half, they fell behind to a goal by a Cameron Jerome six minutes before the break.

Jerome capitalized on Jonny Evans' failure to clear the danger after a corner to slot home from close range.

United secured a share of spoils on 63 minutes through an own goal by Scott Dann, who turned in a cross from Patrice Evra.

Chelsea, whose game with Hull City was postponed due to Britain's freezing weather conditions, remain on top with 45 points, one ahead of United who played a game more.

Arsenal, who needed a stoppage-time goal from Tomas Rosicky to salvage a 2-2 draw with Everton, are third on 42 points.

Seven Premier League games have been postponed due to the icy weather.
