Togo have been officially disqualified from the African Cup of Nations after failing to show up for their game against Ghana on Monday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) said.

"They are disqualified. This group (B) is a three-team tournament," Yaouba Amoa, a coordinator with CAF, told reporters.

Togo's team bus was attacked by gunmen on Friday in the Angolan enclave of Cabinda to overshadow the build up to the Nations Cup.

The incident left two members of Togo's delegation dead as serious security concerns emerged.

Togo players initially said they were ready to carry on but their government ordered them to return home.

Group B will now feature three teams in Ivory Coast, Ghana and Burkina Faso.

Burkina Faso produced a spirited defensive display to hold Ivory Coast to a goalless draw earlier on Monday.
