Angola head coach Manuel Jose advised his players to put their 4-4 draw with Mali behind them and summon the strength to beat Malawi in their next Nations Cup game.
Hosts Angola were about to hand Mali a 4-0 drubbing in their opening game but the latter team astoundingly restored parity in the last 15 minutes.
Former Ahli boss Jose is convinced that the curtain raiser's surprise could take a toll on his men ahead of their upcoming match.
"We will have to be mentally very strong to survive that - I think we'll be alright, I have a fantastic group of players," the Portuguese tactician told a press conference.
"I said after the match that in over one thousand games I've never seen anything like that last 15 minutes - I still feel that now."
On Angola's match against Malawi, Jose said: "They play a different style to Mali, therefore we will have to adapt our style of play to take this into account."
