Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan is relishing the troops ahead of the African Cup of Nations knockouts as he gears up for the serious part of the tournament.

Egypt eased to the quarter-finals after topping Group C with maximum points, but Zidan looks forward to the next phase.

"Now there is no joke anymore," the Borussia Dortmund striker told reporters in Angola.

"Now we are coming to the serious part of the tournament. You win or you lose everything.

"We are very excited and we are looking forward to the next round."

Six-time champions Egypt will face Group D runners-up Cameroon in a repeat of the 2008 final in Ghana.
