Abd-Rabou to miss cup tie for Egypt's sake

Egypt and Ahli Dubai midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou decided not to take part in his club's cup match with Wehda in order to stay at the Pharaohs' training camp.

Egypt and Ahli Dubai midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou decided not to take part in his club's cup match with Wehda in order to stay at the Pharaohs' training camp.

The African champions are facing England on March 3rd in an exhibition game at Wembley Stadium.

Abd-Rabou has just linked up with his international compatriots at the pre-match training camp, and now he aims to fully concentrate on the eagerly-awaited friendly.

Ahli called on the former Ismaili prodigy to play against Wehda on Sunday, but he turned down the Emeriti side.

The friendly game is part of the Three Lions' preparations for the 2010 World Cup.
