Skipper Al-Sayed, whose current contract runs out by the end of the season, has nearly reached an agreement with the Red Devils.
"I sat down with him and he should pen a new deal as soon as possible," Khashaba told Ahli's official site.
"Al-Sayed won't take much time to agree personal terms, he's one of our loyal homegrown players."
Ahli have also been seeking to extend Emad Meteb's stay, but the Egypt striker insinuated more than once that he would like to start a new adventure abroad.
Meteb's ongoing deal with the Egyptian champions expires in the close season. He's believed to be targeted by a number of European clubs.
