The Three Lions host the African champions at Wembley, as part of their preparation for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Even though the English remain firm favorites to win the game, Capello is not expecting an easy ride for his team.
"We hope to play very well and we invite the fans to help us," the Italian told a press conference on Tuesday.
"It's not easy to win the African Nations Cup three times if you are not a good team. I watched Egypt's games and it is a really, really good team.
"They are dangerous, they are really well organized on the pitch who know what to do in every moment.
"I think it will be a really interesting test for us."
Meanwhile, Capello has confirmed that Steven Gerrard will be wearing the captain's armband against Egypt, deputizing for the injured Rio Ferdinand.
Ferdinand has been appointed England captain last month, following the sacking of beleaguered Chelsea defender John Terry as team skipper.
