Algeria striker Kamel Ghilas spoke of his respectful relationship with Hull City teammate Amr Zaki of Egypt.

Following the tense World Cup qualifying competition between Egypt and Algeria, it was suggested that the relationship between the strike partners won't be too brotherly.

However, Ghilas revealed the opposite.

"There is mutual respect between me and Zaki. We deal in a professional manner," the 26-year-old said in an interview with Elheddaf magazine.

"It is difficult to forget what happened to us in Egypt (bus attack). But Zaki is my teammate and we have to work together with respect.

"There are no hard feelings between us at all."

Congratulations

After both players had missed the Nations Cup, Ghilas declared that he and Zaki used to exchange congratulations whenever their respective teams excelled in Angola.

"After we beat Ivory Coast (in CAN 2010), Zaki congratulated me and I did the same when Egypt won the competition," he added.

Zaki and Ghilas are both struggling to help Hull avoid relegation as the Tigers lie second from bottom in the Premier League table.
