Amr Zaki believes Zamalek have what it takes to grab the Egyptian Premier League title under Hossam Hassan's management this season.

The Hull City striker, on loan from the Whites, revealed his support to his parent club ahead of a tough finale to the season in Egypt and England as well.

"Hossam Hassan managed to revitalize the team significantly," Zaki, who is nursing a knee injury in Cairo, told Zamalek's official site.

"He helped the players regain the winning spirit which moved the team up from 13th place to second in the table.

"I think the team is now capable of winning the title and competing with Ahli until the final round."

Chronic Injury

Zaki, who has been wretched by a series of injuries throughout the past year, dismissed rumors of a chronic knee problem.

"It is not true that I have a permanent problem or that I need a year to recover completely," the Egypt striker added.

"I just have a jarred knee. I've had tests in England and in Egypt and I was told I need a week or ten days to resume full training."

Zaki, who scored 10 goals for Wigan last season, has yet to make any impact with Hull following his January move.

The 27-year-old faces a race against time to save the Tigers from relegation as they are currently third from bottom in the Premier League.
