More Ahli youngsters will be given the chance to show their worth after the team wrapped up a sixth consecutive Egyptian Premier League title.

Ahli said on Tuesday that several key players, including Egypt quartet Ahmed Hassan, Wael Gomaa, Sayed Moawad and Emad Meteb, would be rested for the last two league games against Gouna and Military Production.

They included eight new faces in their 19-man squad for Thursday's game against Gouna, who are battling against relegation.

Defenders Saad Samir, Islam Mesabah and Mohamed Abdul-Fattah and midfielders Mahmoud Touba, Ahmed Nabil, Alaa Shaaban, Mohamed Abou-Seif and Hussein Al-Sayed could make their first-team debut against Gouna.

Fellow youngsters Ahmed Shokri, Shehab Ahmed and Afrotto have already played a key role in handing Ahli their 35th league title after being promoted to the first team by coach Hossam Al-Badri.

Ahli's regular players should be available again when the team begin their Egyptian Cup campaign.

The Red Devils will face second-division side Nabaroh in their first cup game and are expected to meet arch-rivals Zamalek in the following round.
