The Egyptian midfielder's brace helped Ahli to a 4-4 draw with Al-Zafra in their last UAE Football League match.
The title holders finished eighth in the competition that was won by Al-Wehda.
Abd-Rabou, who joined from Ismaili on a two-year loan deal in the summer of 2008, scored nine goals with Ahli this season.
He also scored seven goals in the 2008/2009 season and was named the second-best foreigner in UAE.
Abd-Rabou, who was voted the best player in Egypt's triumphant 2008 Nations Cup campaign and helped the Pharaohs retain their title two years later in Angola, is due to return to Ismaili.
Egyptian champions Ahli made no secret of their desire to sign him amid reports suggesting that Ismaili would not afford to pay his wages.
Ismaili suffer from persistent financial problems but said they would hold onto the 25-year-old.
