The Cairo side announced on their official website on Saturday they would extend the current coaching staff's stay for another year.
However, Ibrahim assured that he only knew about the club's intention from reporters.
"I know nothing about this extension," He told Dream TV. "No one from the boardroom told us anything.
"Reporters called me and Hossam asking about details on Saturday and I first thought that they were just speculating."
Ibrahim, who's banned from attending any matches in Egypt till the end of the season, stressed that Hossam and his backroom boys are fully committed to Zamalek.
But in the same breath, he voiced his dissatisfaction over Zamalek's 'mistimed' announcement.
"They should have discussed our requirements first," Ibrahim said.
Former Egypt defender Ibrahim was banned for thumping Police Union assistant coach Mohamed Ibrahim in the face after a league match.
Originally the 43-year-old was suspended for five years by FIFA after a flush of anger saw him assault the referee and the fourth official at Algeria's JSM Bejaia, when he was Masri's football director in 2008.
