Ismaili want foreign referees to officiate their remaining Egyptian Cup games, the club said on Sunday.

The Dervishes reached the cup's quarter finals on Saturday after a penalty shootout win over Ittihad but were left fuming over referee Fahim Omar's decisions.

They were denied a clear penalty in the first half when Tunisian striker Mohamed Selliti was brought down by Ittihad keeper Al-Hani Soliman.

"We've called for a foreign referee to be in charge of our semi-final game against Harras Hodoud," Ismaili director Rezk Tamim told FilGoal.com.

"We will also ask the Egyptian FA to appoint a foreign referee for the final if we overcome Hodoud."

Several teams voiced their anger with the performances of Egyptian referees this season.

Gouna, who were fighting against relegation, had their final games of the season refereed by foreign officials.

The Egyptian FA usually brings in foreign referees for the Cairo derby between Ahli and Zamalek due to the fierce rivalry between both sides.

Other teams are sometimes allowed to follow suit provided that they pay the referees' fees.
