Al-Hadari banned for four months

Egypt and Ismaili goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari has been hit with a four-month ban for making an illegal transfer from Ahli to Sion in 2008.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced the verdict on Tuesday, but said the ban will take affect starting from next season.

This means that Al-Hadari is eligible to play for the rest of Ismaili's Egyptian Cup campaign.

The CAS also imposed a $800,000 against Sion for their part in the breach of Al-Hadari's contract with Ahli.

The Swiss club were also banned from recruiting any new players in the next two transfer periods.
