The Red Devils' arch-rivals Zamalek also tabled an offer for Al-Masri but the 24-year-old apparently turned them down.

"There were no talks between me and Zamalek football director Ibrahim Hassan as was recently said," he elaborated.

Zamalek wanted to run the rule over Al-Masri in the summer of 2009 too but Contractors opted to keep hold of him at the time.
