Petrojet playmaker Walid Soliman agreed to join ENPPI after failing in his attempts to realize a long-held dream of playing for Cairo giants Ahli.

The 25-year-old, one of the most highly-rated players in Egypt, made no secret of his desire to join Ahli but Petrojet declined to allow him to fulfill his wish.

Petrojet told him he had two choices, either to stay put or join ENPPI, who also belong to the Egyptian petroleum sector.

Soliman eventually decided to move to the Cairo-based club, who finished eighth in the Egyptian Premier League last season.

"Soliman called us today and said he will join the team," ENPPI football director Alaa Abdu-Sadek told FilGoal.com.

"He doesn't want to stay at Petrojet and hopefully he will regain his form here."

Soliman has been a long-term target for Ahli but Petrojet fended off their interest on several occasions.
