Ahli have rejected reports claiming that Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan is on his way out of the club this summer.
"Hassan is staying with us," Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.
It is believed that Hassan is far from happy for not being considered a key player by manager Hossam Al-Badri, who hardly plays the midfield veteran for 90 minutes.
Rumor has it that the 36-year-old is targeted by newly-promoted Belgian side Lierse, owned by Egyptian businessman Maged Sami.
Since joining Ahli from Anderlecht two seasons ago, Hassan won back-to-back Egyptian Premier League title, in addition to the 2008 CAF Champions League.
