It was reported that Hassan is eager to leave the league champions after falling out with manager Hossam Al-Badri.
However, the Egypt captain refuted claims of a rift, stressing that he is looking for a new challenge and is ready to stay if the club insisted to keep him.
"I spoke with club officials and asked them in a friendly way if I could leave," Hassan told FilGoal.com.
"I will never think about buying my contract with Ahli, this is not my style. I want to keep my good relationship with the board, the players and the fans.
"I also have no problem with the manager. My desire to leave is because I have more than one good offer that could match my ambitions.
"But if the board rejected my request, I will stay and fulfill my contract."
Hassan, who runs out of contract in 2011, is believed to be targeted by newly-promoted Belgian side Lierse as well as a number of Gulf clubs.
His relationship with Al-Badri has been slightly on a low recently, with the latter's insistence to treat the 36-year-old as a backup player.
