Ittihad have signed midfielder Ibrahim Saied on a free transfer, club chairman Mohamed Moselhi has confirmed.

"Ibrahim Saied signed a one-year contract with Ittihad worth EGP 750,000," Moselhi told FilGoal.com.

Saied has been anything but settled since leaving Ahli in 2003, having played for Zamalek, Rizespor and Ankaragucu before joining Ismaili in 2008.

The versatile midfielder failed to impress in Ismailia and rescinded his contract with the Dervishes last year to join Ahli Tripoli of Libya.

However, Saied left the Libyan club last term as his recent attempt to join Canadian side Toronto turned unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Ittihad have extended the contract of 37-year-old forward Abdul-Hamid Hassan for a further season.
