Ismaili have decided to act against Moatasem Salem's desire to join Ahli by claiming the defender will stay in Ismailia until the end of his contract.

Salem's future has been subject of intense speculation after the 29-year-old announced he has to play for a club in Cairo for the sake of his son.

Ahli and Zamalek have accordingly launched bids for the services of the Egypt international, who didn’t give an indication about his exact desire.

Ismaili finally reached an agreement with Zamalek to sell Salem in exchange for sweeper Hani Saied plus cash.

Subsequently, the deal collapsed after the want-out defender rejected the Zamalek move and publicly announced he wants to join league champions Ahli.

Doesn’t deserve

"Salem will be staying until the end of his contract as long as he refuses the Zamalek offer," Ismaili vice-president Hammad Moussa told FilGoal.com.

"We did everything to convince him stay, but now he will be forced to fulfill his contract without any further privileges. He doesn’t deserve that.

"He will also be heavily fined because he has been absent from training without permission for the past five days."

Salem's contract with Ismaili runs out by 2013.
