Zidan, who is currently on rehab after knee surgery, is encountering paperwork problems that forced a delay in his return to Germany.
During his stay in Egypt, the 28-year-old claims he has been unofficially approached by Ahli and Zamalek over a loan move from Dortmund.
"Ahli and Zamalek have shown interest in me. There has been unofficial contact," Zidan told FilGoal.com.
"I have no problem playing for an Egyptian club, provided they can pay me the same salary I receive in Germany.
"I think this impossible because I know the salary cap in Egypt."
FilGoal.com has learnt that Zidan's yearly wage at Dortmund is around €2.5million.
The Egypt forward has been plying his trade in Europe since 1999, featuring for the likes of Werder Bremen and Hamburg.
