While presenting his new recruits, Hassan seemed to be satisfied about Zamalek's market activity this summer as he singled out Kone as a potential surprise.
"Our choices for the transfers were limited, but I am still optimistic because I believe we've got solutions in all positions," the Egypt legend told a news conference.
"Emad Mohamed was top scorer in the Iran league, so he is normally a good signing. So are Mohamed Youness, Wagih Abdul-Aziz and Ashour Al-Adham.
"As for Kone, he could be our surprise of the season."
Zamalek also signed Egypt number one Essam Al-Hadari from Ismaili.
Unreliable generation
Hassan explained why the Whites missed out on summer targets like Mahmoud Aboul-Saoud, Hossam Ghaly and Geddo, who all joined arch-rivals Ahli.
"Our financial resources didn’t help us achieve all what we wanted in terms of new deals," added the Egypt legend.
"We wanted Aboul-Saoud but his former club (Mansoura) asked for too much money. We also faced difficulties with Ahmed Eid and Hossam Ghaly.
"As for Geddo, he chose Ahli after he had signed with us. This generation of players is unreliable anyways. Some of them agree with one club then join another."
Geddo's transfer saga has been the top story in Egypt this summer, following some controversial decisions by the Egypt forward this year.
He admitted signing a contract with Zamalek before extending his stay with former club Ittihad, form where he had surprisingly joined Ahli.
