The Red Devils play their next CAF Champions League game at the Algerian side on Sunday. A victory would hugely bolster their chances of reaching the semi-finals.
Hamdi, who heads Ahli's contingent in Algeria in an attempt to ease the tension between Egypt and the Desert Foxes, urged the six-time African champions to regain their 'normal berth at the Club World Cup'.
"Our target is to win the competition (Champions League) and regain our normal berth at the Club World Cup," Hamdi was quoted as saying by Ahli's official site.
He also stressed that he is fully confident of the Cairo giants' capabilities.
Under Portuguese coach Manuel Jose, Ahli qualified for the Club World Cup three times, having missed out on as many competitions.
They won the the yearly tournament's bronze medal in 2006; a feat that is yet to be emulated by an African team.
A Champions League triumph would automatically see Ahli reach the Club World Cup for the fourth time.
