Harras Hodoud forward Ahmed Eid has been handed a four-match ban and an EGP 5,000 fine for his misconduct in the 2-2 draw with Smouha on Thursday.

Eid pushed the referee's hand when he was about to raise a caution for him in the second half of the Egyptian Premier League match, causing the yellow card to fly away.

His inappropriate act as well as angry shouts caused the referee to send him off and the 30-year-old was sanctioned later on.

"Eid has been suspended for four matches and fined EGP 5,000 pursuant to the (Egyptian FA's) rules," Competition Committee head Amer Hussein told FilGoal.com.

"According to the new regulations, what Eid did is a lack of sportsmanship that results in this particular punishment."

The Egyptian international, who has a long history of on-pitch misbehavior, will miss Hodoud's upcoming league matches against Arab Contractors, MCDR, Police Union and Gaish.
