The White Knights have suffered a poor start to the season, having registered only one victory in their first four Egyptian Premier League matches.
After his team's 1-1 draw with Gouna, Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan sarcastically said to reporters he doesn't know the reason behind his men's substandard displays.
A day later, his twin brother Ibrahim gave an unexpected explanation for the team's lack of form.
"A spell has been cast on the club," Ibrahim, who appeared with Zamalek's technical staff in Sunday's game for the first time after serving a long-term ban, told Egyptian radio.
"There is an ongoing war at the club. Everybody is against us," he added without further elaboration.
Ibrahim revealed the clues which from his perspective left no doubt that someone has practiced magic inside the club's premises.
"There are cracks in the walls of the locker room," he said.
"Some sentences are written on the walls too. And let's not forget the Holy Quran mentions that magic does exist."
Zamalek are languishing in the middle of the league table with five points.
