Geddo faces a race against time to be fit for the Champions League semi-final with Esperance, whereas full-back Sayed Moawad has been ruled out.

Forward Geddo is struggling with a knee injury sustained in the 4-2 group stage defeat at Ismaili and has been a major doubt for the Sunday clash.

But Ahli said on their official site that the 25-year-old will have a fitness test on Thursday to determine the possibility of including him in the squad.

However, the chances of Moawad are nonexistent as the Egypt full-back has yet to recover from a hamstring strain.

Moawad's absence is a major blow for manager Hossam Al-Badri, who is forced to rely on right-footed center-half Sherif Abdul-Fadil to play on the left flank.

Inexperienced youngster Ayman Ashraf is the only fit and recognized left-back within Al-Badri's squad at the moment.
