Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic says he won't hand in his resignation in spite of the Viola string of unsatisfying results.

The Serbian tactician succeeded Cesare Prandelli as Fiorentina boss in the summer but barely kept the Serie A side on an even keel.

Mihajlovic came under fire as his team have registered only one victory in six league matches and now are in 16th place.

However, he vowed to lead a turnaround in Fiorentina's fortunes.

"I know how the world works and the fact that it's easier to replace one person than 11," Mihajlovic told Corriere della Sera.

"But my conscience is clear. I work with passion and give my best. I feel I have support behind me.

"But if they were to sack me, I would have to accept it. One thing is certain, I will not resign.

"It's a mental problem. I confess that I expected a better start from my team but I have not lost faith. We are in debt to our fans and will turn things around."
