Refaat, one of the club icons, astonishingly slapped Emam in the face after a heated argument developed into a confrontation.
He was infuriated after Emam hit out at Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan for 'unfairly treating him'.
"Hazem will not proceed with his complaint, the problem has ended," the player's father told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.
Zamalek's interim chairman Galal Ibrahim also said that Emam, whose progress with the team was hampered by some childish acts on and off the pitch, apologized to Hassan.
The 22-year-old returned to training on Wednesday, apparently marking the end of his consistent disputes with Zamalek's technical staff and board.
"I do not want people to say that my spell in office saw Zamalek stars leave," Galal, who took charge of the club after the former board of directors was disbanded for election irregularities, said.
Emam was deemed a promising youngster after bursting onto the scene under former Zamalek coach Michel Decastel in the second half of the 2008-2009 season.
But his temper got the better of him on several occasions to spoil his relationship with Zamalek.
