Ismaili chairman Nassr Aboul-Hassan refuted media reports claiming that Ahli had renewed their interest in Moatasem Salem.

The Egypt defender announced by the end of last season that he wanted to move to Cairo, citing his son's health condition as a reason.

Shortly afterwards, Ismaili received offers for him from Cairo duo Ahli and Zamalek but no deal went through.

The Dervishes turned down Ahli and accepted Zamalek's bid while Salem was willing to join the Red Devils, a disagreement that caused him to fall out with Ismaili's board for a while.

He eventually stayed put but several papers suggested he could once again attempt to leave coastal side after Ahli re-opened talks with Isamili.

However, Aboul-Hassan assured that his club were not contacted by Ahli of late, saying that Salem is 'not for sale for'.

"That's not true, Ahli didn't say anything about Salem recently," he told FilGoal.com.

"We have long decided to keep hold of him. He's not for sale for."
