The prolific striker, who made an impressive start to the season, missed Chelsea's past two games due to flu.
"Drogba will come back. He is fit and is able to play," Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday.
The former Marseille man notched six goals in Chelsea's first seven league games. In his absence, Nicolas Anelka spearheaded a three-man frontline that also featured Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda.
Influential midfielder Frank Lampard will miss the Wolves game as he is still recovering from a groin injury.
"Frank is progressing very well and the next step will be to train with the team and after that to play," Ancelotti added.
"We have to be patient with Frank because he had a problem and he's trying to progress."
Chelsea top the league table with 19 points from eight games, two ahead of second-placed Manchester City.
