Former European champions Feyenoord suffered their heaviest ever defeat after a slumping to a humiliating 10-0 loss to PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league on Sunday.

Brazilian Jonathan Reis notched a hat-trick and Jeremain Lens and Balazs Dzsudzsak scored a brace each as PSV made the most of their numerical advantage after Feyenoord's Kelvin Leerdam was sent off on 34 minutes.

Ibrahim Afellay, Ola Toivonen and Orlando Engelaar were also on the scoresheet to give league leaders Eindhoven a remarkable victory.

Feyenoord's previous worst defeat was an 8-2 loss to Ajax Amsterdam in 1983.

Three Egyptians played for the 1970 European Cup winners during the past 15 years.

Former Egypt defender Haitham Farouk, current Ahli midfielder Hossam Ghaly and goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami have all experienced Dutch football with Feyenoord.
