The Bulldozer was ruled out of action for up to two weeks after suffering a knee problem in a friendly match with Shams on October 14th.
He should undergo tests on Monday to determine whether or not he will be able to take part in the crucial match.
"My participation in the match depends on the medical examinations results," Zaki told FilGoal.com.
"If there is no more pain, I'll get back in training and prepare for the match.
"Otherwise, I will undergo more tests the next day (Tuesday) to determine the full extent of the injury."
Former Wigan Athletic star Zaki is now Zamalek's top scorer with a three-goal tally. Head coach Hossam Hassan usually fields him as a lone striker.
The Cairo side, who lie second in the league table, might be two points clear on top should they beat current leaders Police.
