The 25-year-old, who signed from relegated Ghazl Mahalla in the summer, has yet to make his mark with the league champions but seems more than optimistic about his future.
"I am the future of Ahli," Shabana told FilGoal.com ahead of Wednesday's league clash with Petrojet.
"When the manager (Al-Badri) tells me that I am the future of the best team in Egypt and Africa, it must be boosting.
"I was happy like a little boy who received a present from his father when I heard those words from Al-Badri.
"I know the fans are expecting a lot from me and I promise them I will be giving my all with the confidence I am getting from the manager.
"I hope it starts with the Petrojet game."
Shabana has yet to make his full debut with the Reds as he made a number of cameo appearances after five matches so far.
