The Alexandrian team, who are yet to register their maiden top-flight victory, slumped to their fifth Egyptian Premier League defeat upon losing 1-0 to MCDR.
Monday's loss cast doubts over the future of Neveu at Smouha's helm but the costal outfit announced that the French tactician is staying on.
"He will keep his position as Smouha boss," club vice-president Ismail Fayed told FilGoal.com. "The board members have met with Neveu and soon he will name his requirements.
"Some players might be sanctioned. The technical staff might be reshuffled too."
FilGoal.com understands that Smouha opted not to sack Neveu because his contact includes a compensation clause that will oblige them to pay him EGP 140,000 should they fire him.
