Ahli are not willing to give up on their rights against Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) in the fresh Cairo derby saga.

The league champions threatened not to allow the live airing of their derby clash with Zamalek on November 26th due to a financial dispute with ERTU.

But ERTU chief Osama Al-Sheikh took Ahli's warning with a pinch of salt as he insisted that the match will be broadcasted on TV.

The Red Devils subsequently responded to the comments from Egypt's top TV institution in dismay.

Provoking

"Al-Sheikh's comments are provoking," Ahli GM Moharram Al-Ragheb said.

"Instead of using this threatening tone, he should first make sure that clubs receive their late dues.

"His remark about security measures is irrelevant, because every club in the country works in accordance with higher authorities.

"The law which allows TV to air matches, also states that clubs should get their financial rights.

"We will not yield to ERTU's comments and the Ahli board still insists on preserving the club's rights."

ERTU are believed to be owing Ahli around EGP 8million.
